G-Suite for the Young Ones is a learning experience specifically designed for K-8 teachers and administrators. The series will be facilitated by Colby Smart, Google Certified Trainer, long-time educator, and E-Learning Specialist. Sign up for one or both sessions. G-Suite for Beginners

G-Suite for Beginners is a comprehensive workshop for K-8 educators who are just getting started using Google Apps for Education in their classroom. Topics of this full-day event will include: Google Drive: Orientation and File Management, Google Docs, Google Slides, Draw and Google Forms. Special focus will be on integrating these tools using high impact strategies. .5 units of academic credit available through Humboldt State University. Catering and materials are included.

G-Suite for Student Engagement

$195

G-Suite for Student Engagement is designed for K-8 educators who are already comfortable with the basics of Google Apps for Education. This full-day workshop will focus on formative assessment and student engagement strategies using Google Apps including Google Classroom and Chrome Extensions/Apps. .5 units of academic credit available through Humboldt State University. Catering and materials are included.

Attend both G-Suite for Beginners and Student Engagement and save $50. Participants will be eligible for a full unit of academic credit available through Humboldt State University. Catering and materials for both days are included.

ABOUT COLBY SMART


Colby Smart is a long time educator currently working at the Humboldt County Office of Education as its lead curriculum administrator where he oversees professional development and works with educators across the region on integrating EdTech across the TK-12 spectrum. Colby also teaches technology management courses in the Education Leadership Program at Humboldt State University. He has a passion for meaningful EdTech integration for the transformative opportunities it opens for teachers and students. He holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University. He has also been a digital coach for the National Commission on Teaching and America’s Future (NCTAF), a Washington D.C. education non-profit.  Colby holds Google Educator Certifications in Apps and Chrome. Finally, he is currently working on his doctorate in Educational Leadership at the University of New England.
